The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, has became a part of this celebrated institution in the year 1997. The department aims at educating and training students with sound knowledge and awareness in the latest trends in Electronics & Communications.

Keeping in line with fast changing technology, the department has a well designed, constantly reviewed teaching methods to incorporate all advancements in existing and emerging technologies. The state-of-the-art laboratories complement the high standards set by the competitive syllabus and nurture the inclination of the students towards research and development, besides giving them the necessary and sufficient backing of practical knowledge that they need. The academic programs have an optimum mix of Electronics, Communication and Computer Engineering.

Adherence to strict quality norms in teaching and evaluation has always been the strength of the department. Students are enabled to be socially conscience and technologically skilled so as to contribute towards socially relevant technical problems of contemporary India.

Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established at the time of inception of DVRCET, in 1997. The department is jewel in the crown of DVRCET, with their students bagging university ranks regularly.

The department has eminent faculty supported by experienced technical staff. The faculty members are grouped into three broad specializations –Thermal, Design and Production. The students utilize the state of art laboratory facilities for their project works, which include both design and fabrication. Experimental and computational facilities are being continuously upgraded. Industry interaction has been increased with many eminent persons interacting with students in various workshops and seminars.

Mechanical Engineering is the broadest and most diverse engineering discipline. In almost every sphere of modern life, from the air-conditioned office or home to the modern industrial plant or mode of transport, one sees the work of mechanical engineers who continue to develop and apply new knowledge and technology to improve the quality of life for society as a whole. There is hardly any aspect of life that is not influenced by a Mechanical Engineer.

Mechanical Engineers also design tools needed by other engineers for their work. Today, Mechanical Engineering has merged and interfaced with the worlds of electrical, electronics &computer engineering. Mechanical Engineers work on power generating machines such as electricity generators, internal combustion engines, steam and gas turbines, and jet and rocket engines.

Department of CSE

Computer Science & Engineering

Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) is a relatively new discipline that deals with the development and application of computational models and simulations, often coupled with high-performance computing, to solve complex physical problems arising in engineering analysis and design (computational engineering) as well as natural phenomena (computational science).

CSE has been described as the "third mode of discovery". In many fields, computer simulation is integral and therefore essential to business and research. Computer simulation provides the capability to enter fields that are either inaccessible to traditional experimentation or where carrying out traditional empirical inquiries is prohibitively expensive.

CSE should neither be confused with pure computer science, nor with computer engineering, although a wide domain in the former is used in CSE (e.g., certain algorithms, data structures, parallel programming, high performance computing) and some problems in the latter can be modeled and solved with CSE methods (as an application area).


The department has the world class computer lab , which are being continuously upgraded from time to time to suite academic requirements as prescribed by University.

Civil engineers design, build, maintain and manage the construction of public and private facilities such as roads, pipelines, bridges, dams, highways, tunnels, subdivisions, water treatment systems and airports.

The EEE Department at DVRCET has been active in teaching and research since its inception in 1997. The Department of Electrical Engineering, DVRCET, is a fine blend of renowned, young faculty, involved in providing quality education at Undergraduate level. It has a broad based UG curriculum. The Laboratories are modernized to reflect the rapid changes in technology.

Electrical and Electronic Engineering is an exciting and dynamic field. Electrical engineers are responsible for the generation, transfer and conversion of electrical power, while electronic engineers are concerned with the transfer of information using radio waves, the design of electronic circuits, the design of computer systems and the development of control systems such as aircraft autopilots. These sought-after engineers can look forward to a rewarding and respected career.

Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Electrical engineering may include electronic engineering. Where a distinction is made, usually outside of the United States, electrical engineering is considered to deal with the problems associated with large-scale electrical systems such as power transmission and motor control, whereas electronic engineering deals with the study of small-scale electronic systems including computers and integrated circuits.
